Macmillan, London, 1977. First Edition. Hardcover (Original Cloth). Very Good Condition/Good. critical introduction by Samuel Hynes, publishers' note, biographical note, bibliography and index. Yellow coloured endpapers. Black coloured cloth covered boards with gilt coloured titles to the backstrip. Yellow coloured tint to the top textblock edge. Illustrated dustwrapper with black coloured titles to the front panel and backstrip. Rebecca West was first published in 1911, and she wrote upon such topics as fiction, biography, literary criticism, current reported history and travel. This collection, done with her and publisher's help, gives an idea about the depth and diversity of her work. Rubbing to the book corners and to the backstrip corners. Light age toning of the textblock edges. Rubbing to the dustwrapper edges and to the dustwrapper panels.
