Frontispiece portrait engraved by A. H. Ritchie. Back wrapper contains advertisement for Heroes and Martyrs edited by Frank Moore. This number of Frank Moore's record of the American Civil War, issued during the conflict, consists of various reports on events in the final months of 1862, including Gen. Halleck's report on the operations of the national armies; the report of Maj.-Gen. Foster on operations in North Carolina; and a report on the battle at Hartsville, Tenn. In Very Good+ Condition: wrapper is lightly soiled; pages and plate are clean and solid.
