Beige wrapper with illustration by Richardson. Wrapper title. Frontispiece portrait engraved by A. H. Ritchie. Back wrapper contains "notices of the Press." This number of Frank Moore's record of the American Civil War, issued during the conflict, is the final part of volume 6. It consists of the Diary of Events, which lists military and related events from Oct. 10, 1862, through April 17, 1863; reports from May 1863 about the siege of Vicksburgh; the conclusion of the section titled Poetry, Rumors and Incidents, which consists of poetry and short items of interest; the index to volume 6; and a volume 6 title page, table of contents, and section title pages. In Good- Condition: lacking front wrapper; back wrapper is soiled, with loss along fore-edge and upper edge; lacking 1 leaf of the index (pp. xiii-xiv); some upper corner creasing and loss.
