About This Item
First edition 1st printing, Very Good, apparently unread book, with very slight slant, dusting top page edges, and mild push top of spine, in a Good jacket that has small chips and several small closed tears along edges with slight loss of color and material, white portions are age yellowed and spine is very slightly faded. Fiction set in Baltimore that morphs into a crime novel toward the end. Published to excellent reviews but didn’t sell; won the Penn west prize; recently re-issued as a trade paperback. Ward was lured off to Hollywood and wrote for TV (Hill Street Bills) and movies. Book was remaindered by Dial but got Ward a cult following. Signed by Ward on title page and dated 4.12.85.
