About This Item

Washington, DC: Regnery Gateway, 1987. First American Edition . Hardcover (with Dust Jacket). Very Good. 8vo (446 pages; illustrated with black and white photographs). This is a very good copy of the First American edition in a price-clipped dust jacket. There is a dated gift inscription written in ink on the half-title page; contents fine. The author was head of the DIE (Romanian equivalent of the KGB.) Fleeing in 1978, he is perhaps the Soviets’ highest ranking defector.
