Report to the Senate on the Fort Pillow Massacre in Tennessee, followed by eight gruesome engraved portraits (on four pages) of hospitalized returned prisoners, some of whom perished. Textured brown cloth printed in gilt, 128 + 34 pages plus plates. Fair to good condition with cover rubbing and some holes in the spine covering, good hinges, sound text block, intermittent light colored transparent stains, pages otherwise very clean, light foxing to endpapers, name in pencil on front free endpaper, note in pencil inside front cover.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Fair. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
