Boston: Little, Brown and Company, 1875. Book. Illus. by Isaac Sprague. Good. Cloth. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Second edition. Olive green cloth with titles in gilt on spines of both volumes. Binding and endpapers appear to be later than 1875, possibly 1950's. Condition: Both volumes have very light shelfwear and soiling to the covers, inner hinges beginning to crack, and binding cracked internally in one place in each volume, otherwise binding sound, occasional light foxing, otherwise text clean, no inscriptions. 624pp. in total, 145 plates, 36 of them chromolithographs, drawn by Isaac Sprague, then Americas' foremost botanical artist. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
