Calcutta: The Assam Review Publishing Co., 1935. First edition. Hardcover. Fair. Gray hardcover, 1st edition, lacking dust-jacket. Fair to good condition with wear being almost exclusively external. Heavy bumping and bending at the corners and spine tips and the upper two inches of the spine cap cover is loose, though still attached. Browning/sunning to the covers and spine and some soil to the light colored covers. Tocklai Experimental Station property stamps present on the front cover and front free-endpapers, along with "Chem Dept" written in ink, and a stray coffee shop stamp. Interior is quite good, clean and solid, free of foxing and soil. Binding is still sturdy, though lacking tightness. 100 pp., black and white photos. An impossible to find volume detailing the techniques used in early 20th century Java and Sumatra for tea growth and processing.
