In contemporary calf with title and volume labels on the spine; additional owner/firm label: "T.A. & W.F. Wickham." Generally worn set; front boards of Volume II and VI are nearly detached; joint of Volume I is splitting; Volume III is missing volume label. Contents are generally foxing/toned; previous owner name and stamp on each pastedown else contents are free of marginalia. An uncommon set, this edition does not appear to be in Shaw & Shoemaker (16644, 1st edition).
