The 25th chapter is followed by a glossary of terms. An appendix deals with (a) weights, melting points, specific gravity... (b) gold and silver prices... (c) index. Eight very nice plates (in colour) provided... plate one being the frontispiece. The gems shown in the plates are of natural size. Profusely illustrated by 308 figures and a number of tables. Many well illustrated pages of advertisments by varied companies provided (pages 445 to 498). Scarlet cloth boards. Gilt title print to front board and spine remains bright. Name to fep.
