Illustrator: Photographic. acknowledgements, introduction by author and index the text is illustrated with three inserts, of eight pages each, of black-and-white film stills. Grey flecked coloured cloth covered boards withgilt coloured embossed design to the lower left hand corner of the front panel and gilt coloured titles to the back strip. Illustrated dustwrapper (wraparound) with orange and purple coloured titles to the front panel and back strip. The author's book on the devaluation of women in film, from the tremulous virgins of the 20s, to the traumatised and brutalised sex objects of modern films. Softening of the back strip edges with sunning along the lower book edges. Some insect damaged along the lower edge of the book. Light tanning of the text block edges and pages with faint offset tanning to the end pages. Rubbing of the dustwrapper edges and panels with sunning also present, and the dustwrapper also shows sunning. First English Edition. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. [4], V - XII, 388 pages,.
