All illustrations are present and in excellent condition, as is the fold-out map attached to RFEP. The frontispiece portrait of Lawrence is by Augustus John. Seven of the fifteen portraits in the book are by Eric Kennington and were commissioned directly by Lawrence. Brown cloth binding, spine ends/corners lightly bumped/rubbed. Overall clean no marks.. 1st Printing. Cloth. Very Good+/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
Synopsis
The abrdiged version of Seven Pillars of Wisdom, which is the autobiographical account of the experiences of British soldier T. E. Lawrence ("Lawrence of Arabia"), while serving as a liaison officer with rebel forces during the Arab Revolt against the Ottoman Turks of 1916 to 1918.
