Jena: Crökers Buchhandlung, 1790. Hardcover. Good. "Zweite verbesserte und vielvermehrte Ausgabe." Vol. 3 only: [2], 764 p.; 20 cm. Original plain boards; pages are untrimmed. Ernst Anton Nicolai (1722-1802) studied medicine at the University of Halle with Friedrich Hoffmann. From 1758 until his death in 1802 he taught medicine and chemistry at the University of Jena. Primarly in German; the medicinal concoctions are given in parallel Latin and German columns. Former owner's inscription on front free endpaper: "Abraham Good His Booke." On the title page: "Abrm. Good." Scarce. In Good Condition: text block is separated from binding; pages are browning with foxing; otherwise clean; text block is solid.
