About This Item
Garden City, NY: Doubleday & Company, Inc, 1981. Hardcover in Dust Jacket. Very Good. 8vo (670p., 82 illus., 22 maps, rosters, Orders of Battle, notes, appendices, notes, biblio., index.). Mistitled, as it is primarily an account and analysis of Grant’s fifth attempt to break through to Richmond, but an excellent and highly detailed history, by the Archivist/Historian at the U.S. Army War College’s Military History Institute. A very good copy, in chipped, price-clipped dust jacket with worn edges, corners & spine tail bumped.
