The Globe Publishing Company, 1898. Limited. Leather. Fair - Cash. First volume is signed by the author. Limited to one thousand copies. First volume states ``copy no. 160'. Three-Quarter Leather. Beautiful gold gilt lettering and embellishments on the spine. Marbled paper to cover and front and back pages of books. Heavy rubbing to surfaces, corners and edges. Corners and edges rubbed down to hardboards. Tears and missing pieces to spines of all volumes except volume one. Uneven pages. Soiling to cover and pages. Tissue paper protecting pictures opposite title pages have been drawn on in pencil. Gutters cracked and exposing webbing in volumes 1, 4, 7, 18, and 23. Writing to the bottom edge of textblock on volume 18. Page opposite title page on volume 1 is coming loose and just connected at the bottom. Body of texts appear unmarked. Gold gilt to top edge of pages. Stock photos may not look exactly like the book.
