About This Item
The Press of the Readers Club, 1942. First edition. Hardcover. Near Fine in Very Good DJ. First American printing of Rifleman Dodd and reprinting of The Gun, near fine cloth hardcover with blue illustration to cover and blue and red to spine shows a name at top of front endpaper and just a touch of bumping at corners, else tight and clean, in a very good dust jacket (price at both inner flaps) that shows some edgewear that includes wrinkling at bottom of rear panel and closed tears. 311 pages with foreword by Carl Van Doren. Still a pleasing copy in jacket of this duo from the noted author of Hornblower and other works that makes up an installment in the Readers Club line of reprints intended to bring attention to work unnecessarily neglected.
