Richmond: Presbyterian Committee of Publications, 1870?. Softcover. Good. Tan wraps with black title, 16 pages, 7-in tall, sewn binding. No date, circa 1870, when author was a professor at the the theological seminary in Columbia, South Carolina (later officially named Columbia Theological Seminary now located in Georgia). An essay recommending for Bible students such things as spirit of diligence, love of truth, genuine lively faith, and just moderation. Front cover with paper loss at corner, discreet pencil notation, light soil. Leaves show dampstain at bottom edge, not affecting the text. Covers and leaves are a bit fragile.
