London: School of Archaeology in Egypt/Bernard Quaritch, Publishers, 1915. Hard Cover. Poor. Folio. Printed paper covered boards with half red cloth binding. Small folio. 38 pp., 62 plus illustrated plates, a few fold out and a few in color. A discussion and description of the archaeological digs and findings in Egypt at El Riqqeh and Memphis around 1912, describing objects, cemeteries, a jewellery tomb, etc. POOR/FAIR condition. Ex-library, with faint remains of marking on the lower spine, and pocket/pastedown removed from the interior. Plate 24 TORN completely along a fold, with some loss and a section completely DETACHED. Several other plates with large tears or chips missing, some resulting in loss of image. Moderate darkening to the covers, with some soiling and faint scattered dampstaining. Area of small dark stains to the rear cover. Heavy scuffing and fraying to the cloth along the extremities. Heavy splitting to the cloth along the front hinge. Moderate browning to the paper, with the paper being somewhat brittle.
