About This Item
Synopsis
Rise Up Singing is a popular folk music fake book containing chords, lyrics, and sources to 1200 songs. It does not include notation of the songs' melodies (with the exception of the two sections on rounds) and assumes that a user will know the tune to many of the songs. It was first published in 1988 by Sing Out!. It is edited by Peter Blood and Annie Patterson. The book has 35 different categories of songs arranged in alphabetical order, plus an artist index, subject index, and title index.
