Original navy blue pictorial cloth strikingly blocked to an Art Nouveau design in olive green, white, and gilt to spine and upper board, top edges gilt; pp. xiii + 287 + [8], publisher's catalogue; with 75 coloured plates with captioned tissue-guards and a folding map in sepia tipped in to the rear; a fine and superior copy with minor spotting to fore-edge of book block and lateral blister to upper board, internally fresh throughout, without inscription. First edition. The angling opportunities of the English inland waterways are as much explored as the landscape and cultural history of the settlements along the river banks. Inman 23.
