About This Item
New York: Viking Press, 1973. 8vo size black clothbound hardcover with photo illustrated dust jacket; 209 pages plus section of black and white photographs on glossy stock From dust jacket: "Philadelphia Mayor Frank L. Rizzo, self proclaimed 'toughest cop in America,' is a burly, outspoken, impeccably dressed man with a deep and abiding affection for the 'little people,' a positive genius for grabbing headlines, and an intimate understanding of the fear that makes law and order a major issue in their country. 'You get them to the electric chair,' he has said, 'I'll throw the switch myself.'... From reading accounts of Rizzo that have made national headlines, it is easy to conjure up images of him as either an Il Duce or and El Cid... One can find evidence to support either position." Frank Rizzo died in 1991. Jacket has edgewear and some small tears at top. There is a tacky area from a sticker on front of jacket. . First. Cloth. Good/Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
