About This Item
Thornton Butterworth, London., 1935. First edition. First issue green cloth. Octavo. pp 349, [2] adverts. Endpaper maps. A novel of Napoleon's early career.Very good indeed in very good, slightly dusty dustwrapper with several nicks. On the front flap of the dustwrapper, not affecting the text of the blurb are two slips of paper, one typed with the advice to ''take the greatest care of [this book] as it is a rare copy'', the other printed with the details of literary agent Mark Paterson who was also a secondhand bookseller and as such should have known better than to stick things onto dustwrappers.
