About This Item
Robert Browning (1812-1889) was an English poet and playwright whose mastery of the dramatic monologue made him one of the foremost Victorian poets. His poems are known for their irony, characterization, dark humour, social commentary, historical settings, and challenging vocabulary and syntax.
This copy of his poems was published in 1969 by the Classics Club. It is beige tweed boards with red and gold on the cover and spine. The tops of the pages are dyed red. 339 pages.
The book is unread.
The original owner put a bookplate on the inside front cover, but it is already falling off on its own and can easily be removed. And there is a tiny bit of dappling to the corner of the back cover, which is barely noticeable.
Otherwise, it is pristine.
