Chatto & Windus, 1901. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1901. Second Edition. 244 pages. No dust jacket. Black cloth boards with gilt lettering. Black and white illustrated frontispiece with plates. Moderate crinkling and cracking to gutters however binding remains firm. Pages and plates are moderately tanned with moderate foxing. Heavier tanning to textblock fore edge and title page. Rough cut pages. Pencil inscription to front free endpaper. Boards have heavy edge-wear with bumping to corners, crushing to spine ends and rub wear all over. Gilt lettering is darkened. Slight sunning to spine and edges. Visible white marks to boards. Book has a slight forward lean.
