Large soft cover (roughly) 8 1/2" by 5 1/2" (inches), 40 page stapled booklet, Near Fine condition with back cover small corner bend (minor), SIGNED by both authors (with out inscription). "Robert Nichol was one of the most prominent men in Upper Canada during the early 1800s, a wealthy businessman, politician & soldier, as well as a close personal friend & adviser of Major-General Isaac Brock. When the War of 1812 began, Brock chose Nichol as Quartermaster-General of Militia, insisting that no one else in the province was qualified. Nichol served with distinction for the duration of the war at great personal cost. In May 1814, his impressive estate at Dover (Port Dover) was destroyed by invading Americans."
