Los Angeles / San Francisco: Cheval Books / Harper & Row, 1981. SIGNED by Rod McKuen, with a full page inscription, directly on the front free endpaper. McKuen has also initialled and added a brief sentiment with his "Love" on the page for March 15, apparently the day he signed. The book has a brown silk page marker bound in at the head of the spine which is marking the page for March 15. Fine condition in a bright and shiny but only Good dust jacket. NOT price clipped ($9.95). The jacket has a few short tears (clear tape reinforced on the blank side) and two smalll edge chips. PHOTOS UPON REQUEST. NO fading. Sharp corners. Square and tight. Hinges are perfect. NOT a library discard. NOT a remainder. Pages are fresh, crisp, clean and unmarked. NO foxing. Illustrated with drawings by Heather Preston. Bound in the original biege boards with a brown cloth spine stamped in bright gold. From the publisher: "Features 365 imaginative and incisive meditations -- one appropriate for each day of the year -- arranged by season, accompanied by an additional 'Month of Sundays' and interpretive line drawings.". Besides book fairs and mail-order catalogues, long-time collectors and dealers will remember our lengthy For Sale ads in the Antiquarian Bookman and similar magazines.
