Boston: Little, Brown, 1901. The works of Irish author Charles Lever (1806-1872) rivaled Dickens and Thackeray for popularity in the 19th Century. These are Near Fine copies of the First Edition Thus. Nicely bound in turquoise blue cloth with gilt lettering. Titled on the spine as "Novels of Adventure." Illustrations by "Phiz." Clean texts; 397 pages and 407 pages. Just mildly bumped and with hints of rubbing to the margins of the spine, else Fine. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. First Thus. Decorative Cloth. Near Fine/No Jacket. Illus. by "Phiz" (Hablot Knight Brown).
