An interesting western perspective on the Indian frontiers from 1931, written by a Colonel-Commandant in the Royal Artillery. With illuminating and interesting photographs throughout. This edition includes four maps that detail the invaders way to Indian, the long roads to Kabul, the Peshawar valley and the eastern frontier of Burma. There is also one folding map to the rear that outlines the North to West Frontier of India and eighteen full page plates of illustrations. Collated, complete. In blue cloth binding. Externally, smart. The spine is faded with some bumping to the head and tail of the spine. The joints area little faded and there are some marks to the boards.
