Barcelona, Spain: Miller Graphics. Very Good+ in Very Good- dust jacket. 1978. First Edition. First Printing. Hard Cover. Publisher's full white cloth with gilt lettering on spine, patterned blue and pink endpapers. Profusely illustrated with full-page color plates by P. J. Redoute. Pierre-Joseph Redouté (1759-1840), was a painter and botanist from the Southern Netherlands, known for his watercolours of roses, lilies and other flowers at Malmaison. He was nicknamed "the Raphael of flowers" and has been called the greatest botanical illustrator of all time. . Heel of spine has light shelf-wear and bottom edges of covers are tanned, bottom tip of edges has a black mark, else tight, square and clean. Dust jacket has a small tear at the bottom edge near the spine, rear cover has a faint water stain on the bottom edge, some faint color transfer on both covers from other books, one plate has a reddish smudge on the edge. VERY GOOD+/ VERY GOOD-. . Color Plates. Small 4to 9" - 11" tall .
