First edition 1st printing, Very Good to Near Fine book with slight edge and corner wear, mild page edge soiling, smudge bottom of first front end page, and slight thumbprint half-title page near signature, gilt on spine lightly rubbed and faded slightly; in a Very Good jacket that has edge wear and soiling, particularly on back panel, small chips edges and corners, bottom front flap has some of same smudge that is on front end page. Price of $2.50 is present on front flap. All jacket corners slightly clipped by publisher. This copy has been signed, twice – Good Luck Champ from Jack Dempsey – on the half-title page, and then again on the title page – Good Luck Jack Dempsey. This copy is in quite nice shape for a book that is often quite worn and missing the dust jacket.
