A later work by Riley (1849-1916), the popular, Mid-Western poet who most often wrote in humorous dialect; he was also involved inb the efforts to provide copyright protection to American authors.This is a Very Good (Plus) copy of the First Edition. Green decorative cloth binding; ruled and titled in gilt, with colorful design of Doc in his one-horse wagon (shades of green, white, and blue. Clean text; 111 pages. Foxing to the endpapers, spine slightly darkened, mild rubbing to margins. An attractive, solid copy.. First Edition. Decorative Cloth. Very Good (Plus)/No Jacket. Illus. by C.M. Relyea. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
