This softcover book was published in 1933 by the California Historical Society. It details the settlement of Fort Ross, the hub of the southernmost Russian settlement in North America. The settlement lasted from 1812 to 1841, when it was sold to John Sutter. The book is in good+ condition -- cover worn at corner tips, top and bottom of spine and on page edges; fold-out map is intact with a small tear at the top. Some age tanning on interior. Pages clean with no writing, marks, or underlinings.
