Leiden: Les Elseviers (Elzevier), 1646. First Edition. Hardcover (Full Leather). Very Good Condition. The first Elsevier edition in full early calf, front board detached despite the addition of 19th century marbled endpapers, spine a little dry, bookplate to later marbled endpaper, old signature to half title. Browning to engraved title, slight wear at page edges. (xxiv), 663, (8)pp. The Elzeviers printed four editions of De la Sagesse ("Celle de 1646 est incontestablement la plus belle" Willems 147) in 1646, 1656, 1659 and 1662.
