Signed by Captain Joshua Slocum on the front free endpaper, "Yours very truly Joshua Slocum on the Spray Cottage City Aug. 15, 1906". Bound in publisher's original dark blue cloth stamped in silver and green. xvi, 294 pp. Near Fine with slight lean to binding, modest edge wear. Former owner's name on front pastedown; contents slightly musty with light tanning, crease to rear endsheet.

A sailing memoir about the Slocum's single-handed global circumnavigation aboard the sloop Spray. The author was the first person to sail around the world alone. The book was an immediate success and highly influential in inspiring later travelers.
