First Edition, Second State. Squared-off 8vo. Red cloth binding with half-leather in maroon. Decorations in gilt. 6 compartments with fleur-de-lis decorations and titles in gilt. Top edge gilt. Exquisite color frontispiece by Pyle, plus three additional illustrations. Pale green decorative drawings by Jones throughout. 32 pp., rough-cut, high rag content paper. Second state points: blank endpapers and inverted drawing on page 18. Rubbing to extremities, rubbing inside front board where label was once pasted, free front endpaper has previous owner label and ink ink dating. Very good..
