1884. Mezzotint. 530mm by 405mm (platemark) 620mm by 495mm (sheet). India-laid proof before lettering, signed in pencil by Samuel Cousins. Blindstamp of Printsellers' Association just below lower left corner of the image. Self-portrait showing Samuel Cousins seated, scraping a plate, with tools. CONDITION : Light water stains in left hand margin, outside the platemark. Some remains of old tape at the edges of the sheet. Toning line and toning where previous mount must have been. A couple of very faint marks in the image.
