Appears gently read, some light foxing, creases, toning, chips to extremities, complete, folds at quarter-fold typical of newspapers otherwise excellent. The San Francisco Call newspaper (named the Morning Call from 1856-1895) one time featured articles from Mark Twain and later stories from numerous writers with ties to early turn of the century San Francisco theatre. Arago was coal and lumber steamship that sunk near Coos Bay in Oregon. Front page news of the presidential campaign of Democrat William Jennings Bryan who was later defeated by Republican William McKinley. Early theatre adverts of the Alcazar Theatre, Orpheum, Columbia Theatre, Baldwin Theatre and many more. Scarce newspaper of a presidential campaign and historic maritime event of a sunken steamship.
