About This Item
The First UK printing published by Routledge and Sons in 1938.The BOOK is in near FINE condition with some light foxing to the end papers otherwise clean throughout with no erasures or inscriptions. The fragile paper WRAPPER is in VERY GOOD++ or better condition.Light edge wear and creasing in places. The spine is only lightly toned and there is the inevitable age related mild soiling to the wrapper.Small closed tear to lower front spine fold. Having said this,it presents extremely well in the removable Brodart archival cover.Wonderful period photoessay comprising 123 B/W photos.A very scarce early title from this acclaimed travel writer and very hard to find in wrapper in such collectible condition.
