Harcourt Brace. Fine in Very Good+ dust jacket. 1957. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Fine book in VG+ dust jacket. Jacket has light edgewear, two-inch closed tear, now protected by fresh mylar sleeve. Book has most probably been read, albeit very carefully. No defects except that pages 98-99 are slightly tanned where an old newspaper article was laid in. It was a review of the first novel written by Helga Sandburg (Sandburg's daughter), and remains with this offering. . This book contains a significant selection from the collected work of the great American writer Carl Sandburg. He was at once a poet, biographer, historian, novelist and children's storyteller. A wonderful collection, in beautiful condition. Stated first edition. . Small 4to 9" - 11" tall. 459 pages. H3 .
