Dark green cloth boards stamped in silver. Book is very good with tight binding, sharp corners and spine straight. Has contemporary seminary stamp on flyleaf and title page; but no other markings of ownership. Dust jackets are very good with some light shelf wear and small nicks/tears along edges. As per the note on the rear jacket flaps the publisher issued two jackets; one featuring a painting of Satan by C. Van Roemburg; and one plain black with a lightning bolt. The outer jacket is the one with the painting. The inner jacket featuring the lightning bolt is closer to near fine with less wear. A very scarce copy; especially with both of the original dust jackets of this important ecclesiastical analysis of the history and philosophy of Satan in Western History.
