1968 hardcover as pictured. This is the story of James Ford, proprietor of Ford's Ferry during the early 1800s. The ferry floated pioneers migrating west across the Ohio River. Ford took advantage of situation, robbing and murdering travellers carrying gold, going undetected for many years before discovery. Binding is firm. Red cloth boards with black and gold stamping are clean with minimal wear. Endpapers and text appear clean and unmarked. Dust jacket is tanned with a few tears at edges.
