This signed first edition, first impression, of acclaimed author Tom McCarthy's novel 'Satin Island' was shortlisted for the Booker Prize in 2015. The novel follows the protagonist U, employed as an anthropologist for 'the Company', an elite consulting firm, as he spends his days procrastinating and attempting to connect the strange and varied images that bombard him daily. First edition, first impression, in unclipped dustwrapper. Signed by the author to the title page, dated 30th Aug 2015. A novel oscillating wonderfully between vague and visionary, McCarthy's 'Satin Island' is an impassioned novel for disjointed times. In the publisher's original hardback binding, with unclipped dustwrapper. Externally, very smart. The dustwrapper is very smart, with only some minor handling marks to the boards, where a circular sticker appears to have been removed. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Fine
