From the library of Douglas Fairbanks, Jr., with his bookplate (and a nice bookseller's ticket!) on the front paste-down. Inscribed to him "from a couple of other guys / Vienna 1901" on the FFEP. Fairbanks (1909-2000) was an American actor (his credits include Gunga Din) and a highly decorated naval officer of World War II.
