Albuquerque: University of New Mexico Press, 1951. First edition, 1951. Based on the true story of a young Native American Apache boy who rose to renown in his adulthood as Dr. Carlos Montezuma. Gray cloth printed in red, red and black illustrated dustajacket. Light edgewear, some red residue from the dustjacket left on the outer edges of the front cover, good hinges, sound text block, the letter B in a circle on the copyright page, pages clean with no other markings. The mylar protected dustjacket has edgewear and a slightly faded spine, very minor edge chips and closed tears, little paper loss.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Good/Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
