Original cloth, uncut, printed paper labels; bindings faded; label of vol I I chipped with partial loss, label of vol II rubbed. Loosely inserted is a letter of presentation from the author to L.M. Walter Esq. dated Feb. 2, 1833: "Sir, Herewith, I beg leave to present you with a copy of my Book, entitled 'Sayings &c at the Tremont House,' in which I heartily hope you will find a few somethings to amuse you &c. And permit me to subscribe myself. Yours very respectfully (In haste) The Author." Alas the author has not signed the note with his name and must therefore remain anonymous. First Edition.
