Philadelphia 1846 1st Lindsay & Blakiston. Hardcover. Octavo, 240pp., several full page color illuminations from original designs by Devereux (printed in colours by T. Sinclair), 8 full page steel engravings by John Sartain, gilt stamped cloth. All edges gilt. Several monastery stamps on end papers. VG, spine has been slightly shellacked just onto boards (almost invisible), slight stain at heel of spine, text just barely beginning to brown around page edges, head of spine a bit frayed. .
