Gerald G. Swan Ltd, London, 1956. Edition Unstated. Hardcover (1/4 Cloth 3/4 Boards). Very Good Condition/No Dust Jacket. Illustrator: Various. illustrated front endpaper – an ex-libris plate. The text is illustrated with black and white drawings, by various illustrators. 1/ 4 blue coloured cloth covered backstrip. 3/ 4 colour illustrated boards with red and blue colour titles to the front panel and further titles from the publishing house to the rear panel. Stories for the adventurous boy, 1950s style, with car racing, school stories, mysteries and cricket stories. Softening to the backstrip corners and to the book corners. Rubbing to the book panels, particularly the rear. Browning and scattered foxing to the textblock edges and age toning of the pages. Previous owner's name has been pasted over to the top edge of the front paste-down. Browning and foxing to the endpapers. Size: 4to 9¾" - 12" tall. 123, [1] pages..
