Moscow: University of Idaho, 1977. First Edition. Soft cover. Collectible Very Good. 1st printing. Pictorial wraps. 156pp. Illus. Bibliographies. Tables. This modest-sized (small 8vo) volume is packed with information & represents one of the earliest gatherings of serious study by academic scientists on the Sasquatch/Bigfoot problem. Essays by Krantz (4), Sprague, Rigsby, Suttles, Strasenburgh, & Bayanov & include thoughts about Native Language Names, the Cultural Track, Anatomy of the Sasquatch Foot, Perceptions & Images of the Wild Man, the view from Russia, etc. This copy was owned by Lester A. Ross, whose name stamp is neatly stamped near the top of the front cover. Ross, an archaeologist from Eugene, Oregon, had a company that did historical and cultural research in the field of archeology. In the Digital Archaeological Record his reports are extensive, especially at Fort Vancouver. This is a nice, somewhat association copy. This copy vg+. Especially pleasing is that, although "perfect-bound," the binding is tight and no pages are loose, which typically happens with older perfect-bound books. This title is most desirable now, and now very hard to come by.
