About This Item

Perthshire: Crossmount House, 1998 Book. Illus. by Maps, Photos, Drawings. Very Good. Soft cover. First Edition. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. The author discovers an ancestor to have died in a duel, the next-to-last one in Scotland. She sets out to tell the story, apparently without considering her story-telling ability or the value of the subject matter. What sane person would take part in a contest to kill someone when "success" would carry an automatic charge of murder ? Unfortunately the murder charge was dropped. 74 pp..
