Edinburgh: Scottish Mountaineering Club, 1891. A very good complete run of the first 95 years (1891-1985) of this important mountaineering journal which represents vols. I -XXXIII, made up from 176 parts. With various index volumes; numerous plates and folding maps (large folding map loosely inserted in the rear of vol. IX). Many of the volumes are handsomely bound in near contemporary, uniform half calf richly decorated in gilt to the spines, contrasting title labels, and these are generally in very good condition. Two volumes are bound in plainer calf, and the remainder in later cloth, or in their original parts. Details as follows. Vol. I half-calf, extra gilt, binding chipped & worn, but remains strong with some careful repair; vols. II & III plain half-calf, bindings chipped and worn but remain strong with some careful repairs; vols. IV-IX, half-calf , extra gilt, very good; vol. X calf, extra gilt, binding chipped and worn, but remains strong with some careful repair; vols. XI-XVI, half-calf, extra gilt, very good; vols. XVII-XXVII tasteful later cloth with black/red leather title and volume no. labels. Vol. XXVIII (no. 155, May 1964) - vol. XXXIII (no. 176, 1985) are in their original parts with printed card wrappers - all very good. There are various index volumes which include: index for vols. 1 -10 (three copies, one finely leather bound, and two in original printed card wrappers), index for vols 11-20 (plain wrappers); and separate indexes for vols 27, 28, 29, 30 & 32 all in original printed wrappers.
